This is my first video for the Sheridan Studio of Music!

This lesson is titled, "How to Make Homemade Shakers," and it is inspired by trying to make instruments accessible from the home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every home has different resources, so this lesson was created to try to show students that they can make an instrument using a wide array of items that are at their disposal. This lesson is aimed towards Kindergarten and 1st grade learners, but could be used for any elementary student looking for a DIY project!

*Materials Used*
Containers: Orange juice bottle, single use water bottle, tupperware, metal can
Items for filling containers: Uncooked rice, almonds, ping-pong balls, coins
Other materials: Plastic wrap, elastic/rubber bands

Featured Composer: Ludwig van Beethoven

I do not own any of the music in this video, nor am I looking for monetary gain from this video. This is solely for the aiding of remote music education.
